  • A study of short-term and long-term effects of extensive reading on speech production

    FY2022 (Year 2) falls on the second year of this study. We have been promoting participants' extensive reading activities by providing them with bi-monthly online seminars. We are conducting assessment tests and research survey questionnaires every six months. The research progress was presented at domestic and international conferences.

  • A study of short-term and long-term effects of extensive reading on speech production

    Collaboration in Japan

    In FY2021, a total of 40 students were recruited from from four departments in three universities and they were organized into a reading circle. Students were asked to read extensively using an online reading system (Xreading). Bi-monthly online seminars were held, and assessment tests and research surveys were administered every six months. The data are being analyzed and will be presented and published in FY2022 and after.
