Having originally studied English Language at Lancaster University, I then studied for an MA TESOL degree at the University of Manchester in the UK. I have taught in the UK, Poland, Kazakhstan and Japan. I am currently a Lecturer in the Language Learning Centre at Osaka Institute of Technology. I am also currently a PhD candidate at Canterbury Christ Church University. My research interests focus on discourse and identity, particularly the discursive construction of national identity.
