Title

Assistant Professor

Research Fields, Keywords

Compressible flow, Flow visualization, Flow control

Profile

I was awarded a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Aitch Institute of Technology, Japan in 2005, and spent five years working for a company which develops the hydraulic machines before starting my Master project. During this period, I developed a compact hydraulic solenoid valve. In my Master and Ph.D. projects, I worked on three research topics; the development of the pressure measurement techniques using a ballistic range facility for sonic boom research, shock-turbulence interaction phenomenon for supersonic transports, and flow mechanism within a combustion chamber for scramjet engines. I was awarded a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Tohoku University, Japan in 2015. I then took Marie-curie research fellowship from European Commission and worked on flow control techniques by laser-induced gas breakdown in The University of Glasgow for two years. Since 2018, I am Assistant Professor in Osaka Institute of Technology, Japan. I am currently working on the gas-solid two phase flow under Martian envelopment and the development of flow diagnostics technique based on Schlieren photograph.
